General Troubleshooting

This page lists various troubleshooting scenarios that do not require a dedicated section and provides guidance for resolving them.

The instance does not seem to apply rights correctly

Verify whether the instance is embedded inside another instance. In such cases, rights are inherited from the parent instance. To confirm this, display the Embedded by field.

A user cannot edit the workflow, even though the permissions appear correct

Workflow editing requires the platform capability Update workflows (if permissions)
(Settings > Authorization > Platform capabilities).
Alternatively, the workflow must be a Public workflow, or the transition must be a Public workflow transition (Settings > Authorization > Concept workflows).

Different users see different timeseries data / dates data

Check whether both users are in the same timezone. Timeseries and date values are stored as timestamps, not calendar dates, which results in different displayed dates depending on the browser timezone.

If a timeseries table is involved, enable Show dates not aligned with granularity to ensure all data points are visible, or view the raw data by displaying the timeseries field directly.

A user cannot log in, but the account and credentials/SSO are correct

Check that the account is enabled (Settings > Authorization > Users; Is enabled column).

An expected option is missing from a dropdown list (association)

Confirm that the association is not filtered in the field configuration of the association.

Dashboard numbers differ between users

All calculations depend on the user’s access rights. The number of visible instances may differ from one user to another, which can produce different results.
If date-based filters are involved, timezone differences may also affect the outcome.

Collaboration is not possible on certain concepts

At least one intention must be defined for the concept (Settings > Collaboration).
If the instance is embedded within another instance, the parent intentions are applied.
